It\u2019s a resource that you aren\u2019t able to get any more of,<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0no matter what you do, and you are losing more of it every second.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">When you look at it like that, asking people for their time a much bigger deal than you might have considered at first. Therefore, when you are spending it with them, you should make the most of it.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Moreover, you are competing for customers\u2019 time. So, when they do give it to you, they are going to evaluate whether that was a good move afterward. If you are careful with it, you can end up on the bad side of an evaluation and a losing side of the battle for their attention in the future.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/strategichorizons.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Joe Pine<\/a>, co-author of\u00a0<em>The Experience Economy,<\/em>\u00a0writes about this battle for customer attention and how they evaluate time given to you\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">in a recent article about &#8216;Competing for Customer Time&#8217;<\/span>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/strategichorizons.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Dialogue-Competing-for-Customer-Time.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Check it out here.<\/a>\u00a0We also hosted him\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3X5FOOs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span class=\"s1\">on a recent podcast<\/span><\/a>\u00a0where he shared his three categories for customers\u2019 evaluations of time given to your organization.
