The number of friends you have on social networks is unlikely to actually correlate to how many you have in real life. A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/blog\/mr-personality\/201001\/the-psychology-social-networking\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">recent study<\/a> has found that the number of \u2018friends\u2019 you accumulate online is most likely to reflect your personality traits. The three personality traits found to affect how you behave on social networks are Extraversion, Emotional Intelligence and Machiavellianism.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/basics\/emotional-intelligence\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Emotional Intelligence<\/a>, which refers to the ability to identify and manage emotional states in yourself and other people.
